Valentines Day

Every year we have a fondue picnic. Last year Liam loved it this year not so much. Since he hardly ever says no to chocolate I think it was because he was still feeling under the weather. He got his first valentines from school and really enjoyed opening them and reading them, he especially liked the ones that came with candy or a sucker. Jason was really sweet and got me flowers, candy, and made me cupcakes. My favorite was my massage! I am really lucky that my husband pretty much missed his calling on being a massage therapist. I made them dinner and fondue and also made a love wall for both of my boys. It is just a small amount of the things I love about both of them and I think they both liked it! I only have one more month of being pregnant and I am ready to go!! Below is a picture of me at 36 weeks!

Liam thinks if there is a beach towel out you should be relaxing!!

Letters to Liam-28 months

Dear Liam,

You are 28 months old and growing so fast.  You are interested in so many things right now mainly the alphabet.  You know all your letters, but just not the order yet. You can sing the alphabet all the way up until D.  Your preschool teachers are amazed by how many letters and colors you know and  hopefully I can get you into numbers next!! You are all boy always wanting to play with cars and tools.  You like to go to the garage with Daddy and while he works on his car you work on your toy car it is so cute.  You definitely use your language now by asking for help and can say please and thank you!  You are still very strong willed and stubborn and we have to go to time out about 5 times a day for various things.  You remind me of your Dad you know what you want and your very determined.   This makes food hard because sometimes you want to eat unhealthy things and I have to fight so your not eating fruit gummies all day! Your strong willed personality helps a lot in school you are a leader in your class and never get pushed around by anyone.  The pediatrician actually told me you would be an easy teenager because no one bullies strong willed children because they always do exactly what they want and do not follow others. You are very energetic and love to run around the backyard with me and Maya. You are also into your bike and wagon, but hate bundling up to go outside. You are very interested in baby #2 you rub my belly and kiss it and you also talk about having a sister (you most definitely have a preference which I find so funny)! Additionally, you think your belly is a baby.  You pat your belly and say baby! You are so funny you make me laugh all the time with the things you say and do.  You recently started saying excuse me when you burp and often remind others to say it if they forget! This recently happened in public and I had to try really hard to not laugh super hard!  You make my life so fun and full of joy. I cant wait for you to become a big brother you are going to love having a playmate!! I love you to the moon and back.

Love,

Mommy

Pregnancy must haves

Here is a list of things that have helped me throughout my pregnancy and will hopefully help others!

1) A great supportive bra. This helps with back pain and if your trying to save money go ahead and buy a good nursing bra. I bought 2 of these and they have great coverage plus for no wire plus they still support D plus breast.
http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=993890361&MasterCategory_Id=MC29

2) A body pillow- I needed this more for my second pregnancy than my first although, I still used it with Liam. I dont have a special one for pregnancy but the standard kind works just as well for me.

3) Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Butter- This stuff rocks!! Personally, I really think stretch marks are genetics (if your mom got them you will) I have not gotten them with my 2nd pregnancy I also use EVOO as well (sounds weird but olive oil really helps even with scars). Because I already look like a burn victim and had to be induced last time from a rash called PUPPS that is caused by excessive stretch marks I am trying not to get any this time because I do not want to be induced plus I feel I already have enough scars on my belly! : )

http://www.mamamio.com/us/pregnancy/tummy-rub-stretch-mark-butter.html

4) Supersoft leggings- These are expensive for leggings but I wear them at least 5 times a week and you can't see through them which is nice once you get larger.

5) Contigo Water Bottle- It is super important to stay hydrated and running around with a 2 year old is hard to find time to drink unless I have this bottle which was a gift from one of my husbands friends. This is a great must have for after the baby as well. It is way easier to breastfeed when you stay hydrated! Plus it is a no spill so if Liam gets a hold of it I do not have to clean up a mess!

6) Excersie ball- I bought mine from physical therapy, but you can get an exercise ball anywhere. Make sure you have the right size for you. I use a 26' based on what the PT told me I needed.  I bounce around on this and do exercises for my back and it helps a lot!! One of my legs is longer than the other causing one of my hips to be higher than the other. This isn't a huge deal when not pregnant but when carrying 30 pounds of extra weight it is really painful causing a lot of back and pelvic pain. Buy one if you have any back or pelvic pain. I can now walk again without feeling like I am going to fall down from the pain!

Christmas 2012

Christmas 2012 was a lot of fun. This was the first year Liam really got into opening gifts and playing with them. He got a balance bike, books, and cars from Santa! My parents were able to come down ( I didnt know if they would be able to because Jason has been really sick) so that made me really excited!! Fall New Hampshire Trip

Every fall we try to go to New Hampshire to see Jason's family. This is the latest in October we have ever been and it was what they call peak for tree's changing color. It was so beautiful! Jason's parents used to live beside an apple orchard, but they recently changed it to a pumpkin patch. This made Liam so happy since he loves pumpkins. He calls them punkins it's so cute. The also have a barn and pond near there house that Liam liked walking to everyday. Currently Liam doesn't have a backyard and his grandparents have about 3 acres of land for him to run and play on so you can imagine how much fun he had. While we were there we saw wild turkeys and deer. We also got to enjoy Jason's childhood friend John's wedding. It was a lot of fun and this was Liam's last trip where he got to sit in our lap. The flight up went really well and the flight back was difficult because he had not had a nap! I made an activity bag for the plane for him and on the way up he played with a napkin the whole time!! He did use it on the way back though so it was worth it. Here are some pictures from our trip.
