Letters to Liam 2 and a half

Dear Liam,

You are 2 and a half. I cant believe how big you are getting. You are such a talker these days. I picked you up from preschool today and asked you what you did today. You told me you made a sand castle with Lilly. It's the first time I asked you something and you gave me such a descriptive answer. All of a sudden I thought I have a little boy now not a baby. Although, I have known for awhile now you are not a baby it really hit me today when you said that! You still love to read your favorites right now are Good Night Moon and Where the Wilds Things Are. Every night after I tuck you in you ask for a "Mommy hug, Mommy kiss, and Mommy Eski (Eskimo Kiss). I always whisper I love you before I get up and lately you have been saying "I love you Mommy, good night dreams". You are definitely the funniest person I know, you love to make people laugh with the things you say and the faces you make. Since Colin has been born your behavior has improved, you love to help with throwing diapers away and giving him his pacifier.  You are such a loving and caring big brother.  The tantrums have decreased a lot so maybe the terrible twos are over(positive thinking!) Because I have had to take it easy lately you have gotten really into watching movies your favorite is Brave which you call Merida( the main characters name). I try to make special time for me and you now that you have to share most of your time with your brother. We have planted a tomato and gone out to breakfast together and you seemed to really enjoy it. I love the little guy you are becoming and have so much fun with you everyday. You are such a joy and make me smile every single day. I love you to the moon and back little star!

Celebrating your half birthday at Kilwins

Brotherly Love

Liam wakes up in the morning and always ask where Colin is, this morning I had Colin up and ready in the living room and he went over and said "Hey Colin" and gave him a hug and a kiss. I couldn't catch Colin's smile, but its so sweet how excited he gets when he sees Liam. You can already tell he is in awe of his big brother!

Picking Strawberries

We have been trying to pick strawberries for weeks now. Getting out of the house with two children is so hard, but this was well worth it. Liam had a great time he wanted to pick the green berries and didn’t understand that they wouldn’t taste that good : ) Colin even got to enjoy helping us pick the berries in his carrier. Tonight we are using some of the strawberries we picked to make a strawberry cake. I have never made one before and I am really excited to see the outcome!

Colin 1 month

Colin I can not believe a month has already passed by. You are such a good baby you sleep about 5 hours at night at a time and take about 3 naps a day. You are a very calm happy baby. You rarely cry and love playing with your brother and your play mat. We have taken you to restaurants and stores and even the Azalea festival this weekend and you always sleep the whole time. After 7pm is our main time together to snuggle and play. If I am not holding you at that time you fuss because you know its our special time since Liam has gone to bed or your Daddy is home! I look forward to the months to come and watching you grow. I love you and am so happy you are here!!!
