Colin 18 months

Dear Colin,
You are a year and a half now. You are becoming such a big boy. You run everywhere and love playing outside and swinging and going down the slide backwards are your favorites. You love to read and like to be read to. Sometimes if I need to keep your entertained for a couple of minutes I give you a book. You can say the following words: Cars, Bye Bye, Fall (you say this when ever you trip and fall down), Ma, Dada, Baby and you randomly repeat some bigger words which is funny. You really don't like wearing hats, I have no idea how I am going to keep your head warm this winter but you will wear a baseball hat.  You definitely have a temper and when you want something you let it be known. You will lay down and scream if you want something and I have been ignoring this behavior before it gets worse. You have a huge appetite to be such a little guy. You constantly are eating or trying to score someone else's food.  You have the best laugh and are extremely happy all the time. The only things you cry about are being in a car seat for too long and getting multiple teeth at a time.  Your favorite foods are chicken pot pie, spaghetti, chili,  turkey, strawberries, yogurt, green beans and Greek yogurt  blueberries. You are most difficult at breakfast, but recently I learned to make homemade granola bars and you love them! You are still 20th percentile for weight but have moved up to 50th percentile in height! I am so glad I am your Mama.
Love you sweet boy

Liam is 4

Dear Liam,
How can you be 4 years old. You have changed so much! You follow directions and listen very well now. You ask a lot of questions all the time. It is so fun to watch you learn and observe things. You go to preschool twice a week and really enjoy your time there. You favorite things to do are paint, color and play outside. You recently discovered camping with your Dad and think that is the best thing ever. You love to do anything with your Dad and you are still a Daddy's boy, but you really like to do things with just Mommy now too. We try to have a date once a month just me and you and you ask for special time when you need just time with one of us. You are so smart and are extremely funny. You are getting very good at sharing with your brother and you love spending time with him. You want him to do everything with you and I know you guys are going to be best buds. I am so proud of the little man you are, you are such a special gift. Happy 4th birthday!!
Love,
Mommy

We are so excited and feel very blessed to have found a house that works well with having kids and is in a good location for Jason to commute. Trying to buy a house was very difficult. We had two fall through and this was our third time. Looks like third time is a charm!

Goodbye Wilmington

I have lived in Wilmington for the past 10 years! Many wonderful things happened there. I met my husband, got engaged on the riverfront, had my reception in Southport and my two beautiful boys were born there! Without Wilmington I would not have the most important things to me! I will miss it greatly, but we are looking forward to our new future in Graham, NC.

California and turning 30

For my birthday Jason gave me the choice of a huge party or trip.  I chose trip! The plan was originally Spain, but because of health issues we thought it would be best to stay in the US. We traveled to Sonoma, San Francisco, and Yosemite. We hiked and camped out sampled wine and enjoyed the beautiful architecture and culture. We ate some amazing food and got to have real conversations!! Having two little guys can be draining and we really needed the time as a couple. 10 days was much needed!!  Here are some pictures!!

Colins 1st birthday party

For Colin's birthday I did his favorite book as the theme Cat and the hat! We had a great time and lots of friends and family came! Watching him eat the cake was so funny he took his time and enjoyed it!

Colin 1 year old

Dear Colin,
How are you 1 already! It goes by twice as fast with your second. I literally feel like I blinked and you are this big one year old. You are so into everything you have mastered climbing and are full on walking everywhere. You are still the sweetest baby I have ever met and love to cuddle and giggle. I am so luck to have you as my son. Your personality is a lot like your Dads you are very laid back and happy all the time.  You now have eight teeth and are starting to put some weight on! I get so tired of people asking me if you are 9 months or 6 months, but you are growing and meeting all your milestones very early so they can kiss it. You enjoy bath time, playing outside, and playing cars with your brother. You have discovered how to dance and enjoy climbing on the coffee table and dancing. I love you so much and cant wait to see you grow more, although I wish you could be my baby forever I am so proud of the big guy you are becoming.
Love,
Mommy

Colin- 11 months

Dear Colin,
How are you about to be a year old. I wish I could keep you a baby forever. My heart hurts because you are getting so big and so fast. You now walk all the time. You amaze me!! We had to put up a gate and move the DVD's in the living room because you could not be stopped!! You love tearing down all the DVD's and can do it in less than a minute. You are on your way to getting tooth number 6. Teething does not bother you. The only way I can tell is you eat a lot more. You are still a Mamas boy, but are starting to be all about Dad too. Liam and you are really starting to play well now that you can move so well. He does help keep you out of trouble and enjoys playing cars and building parking lots with you. His patience has improved a lot with you now that you can physically go anywhere. Sometimes he is a little rough and tries to jump on you, but you compensate by pulling his hair as hard as you can!! You are so loveable, you love to be rocked, held, cuddled and tickled. You can now dance and have so much fun listening to music and having dance parties. I have been working hard on your first birthday party it is going to be so fun! I can not imagine a day without your beautiful smile and sweet laugh. I love you to the moon and back sweet love!

Love,
Mommy

Snow Day

Or more like Ice day! Regardless Colin and Liam loved playing outside and making hot chocolate. Liam actually just liked eating the sprinkles and putting them in his cup and the floor. : ) Jason was unable to stay home like the rest of Wilmington, but made it home safely each day. Here are a few pictures from our first snow day since moving to Winnabow!

Christmas 2013

Christmas this year went by way too fast. This year we did not travel to New Hampshire so I thought that would help slow down the season, but no such luck. Liam actually sat with Santa this year after a couple of tries and told him he wanted a Car. He also got to go on the Santa Train which he absolutely loved! Watching Liam start to love the season is so awesome to watch. This year he even did a little play with his preschool where they sang songs. He really liked picking out a Christmas tree and making cookies for Santa. Colin doesn't really get the season yet, but still enjoyed all the fun! Christmas day we stayed at home and I made dinner for my family! It was a great Christmas, but went by way too fast. It will always be one of my favorites because it was Colin's first. A baby's first Christmas is just magical! This year we were all sick, Colin had a ear infection and the rest of us had the worst cold in history. We didn't let it get us down and had a great Christmas!!
