Potty Training

Potty training is super hard work ( I really think labor is easier)! Jason took off 5 days from work and together we did potty boot camp. This consist of taking Liam to the potty every 15 minutes and trying to go potty the first day he went once. The second day 5 times and the third I lost count! : ) He completed his sticker chart in about 5 days and picked out a monster truck as his prize. We are still working on #2 it is hit or miss, but we will get there. Potty training is very hard work if you have a strong willed child because until they are ready they aren't doing it. I told my pediatrician about grandparents giving us a hard time that Liam is not trained yet (he is 2.5) and he just laughed and said he is on the earlier end of potty training for boys he said normally boys learn between 3-3.5 years old, and that I was doing great having him completely #1 trained and #2 always takes a little more time to get used to. Regardless I am so proud of Liam he is doing a great job and this helps me out a lot during the day only one child to change diapers with! Cant believe how fast my little man is growing up, but this part of growing up I am completely excited and happy about!!!

Mother's Day 2013

This was my first mother's day being a Mom of two! We had a great day although I slept most of the day I was really sick : ( , but it was very nice getting to snuggle my boys all day and just relax with my guys! They made me blueberry muffins, a card, and I got a L and C layered necklace. I am so lucky I get to be their Mom they are the best present I could ever receive.

Letters to Colin-2 months

Dear Colin
I can't believe you are 2 months old. You are such a great baby. You started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks 10pm-6am and I am amazed! I think having Liam around keeps you awake a lot during the day, but I do make sure you get three good naps 1.5-2 hours or else you are not a happy camper. You love sitting in your bouncy chair kicking and still enjoy your play mat. The mamaroo is not your favorite, but you will tolerate it for about 10 minutes. You love to look at your brother and smile at him a lot. You guys get along great he is always trying to hug and kiss you and you eat it up! We took our first trip to Burlington at 8 weeks and you are a good traveler. We had to stop and let you eat halfway through, but that is only because we had to stop a lot for Liam since he is potty training. You love to snuggle and be held and are starting to drool a lot (I hope you are not getting teeth yet) You are still exclusively breast fed and I am so proud at this point with Liam he was getting formula once in awhile(so I could get a little sleep) and I am able to pump so when I am out of town or away from you, you still get breast milk which I am even more proud of. I don't care what anyone says breastfeeding is very hard work. At your 2 month appointment you were 12.2 pounds and 23 1/2 inches. You did great with your first shots you screamed really loud and then the nurse allowed me to immediately nurse you which calmed you down right away. You are such a sweet boy and I am so glad you are part of our family. I love you so much and so proud to be your mommy!
